We’re here to put an end to poverty for good!

"I often get asked if there’s one thing I could recommend to patients, what would it be? The clear answer is income. The truth is, poverty causes real health problems and stress, flooding the body with cortisol. When people have a steady income, they can afford stable housing, nutritious food, and might even avoid needing so many medications in the first place.

"Picture a world where no one has to worry about having enough food, a safe place to live, or access to basic healthcare. That’s exactly what we’re working towards. Yesterday was the International Day for the Eradication of Poverty, but today, nearly half the world’s population still lives in poverty. Many face unsafe housing, unfair work conditions, and limited access to essential services. But together, we can change that. How? By eradicating extreme poverty by 2030—because no one should live on less than the minimum wage per day. On top of that, we want to reduce poverty completely based on each country’s standards. Social protections like child benefits, pension plans, food assistance, and free healthcare should be available to everyone, everywhere. We believe everyone deserves access to education, technology, land ownership, and financial resources to build a better future. Ending poverty means building resilience—protecting vulnerable people from disasters, whether social, economic, or environmental. It means mobilizing resources so every country gets the support and funding needed to make these goals a reality. Governments must create pro-poor and gender-sensitive policies that back the fight against poverty. Poverty isn’t just about lacking money—it’s about being denied the opportunities and dignity everyone deserves. No one should have to face that, and together, we can end it."

Throughout the year,

become homeless in Canada,
